Welcome to JackSample.com
This site is a simple one and has one main
purpose; To give you the opportunity to get acquainted
with Jack and Elana Sample and family.
Jack has worked as a school teacher and
principal in small Christian schools from Oregon to
Nebraska to Papua New Guinea.
Elana has had the greater work as a stay at
home mom raising our two awesome kids, Corrie and Ray. Of
course this work takes much less of our time now as they
have both flown the nest.
In 2002 the care of Jack's folks brought Jack
home from teaching. Both parents had Parkinson's and
required full time care. Later in 2002 his dad passed
away. Then in June of 2005 his mother also passed away.
This along with the fact that Ray and Corrie had left
home for college gave Elana and Jack the "empty nest"
syndrome.
Ray, our first born is now
27. In May of 2007 he married Crystal Benson and is now
living in Albuquerque, New Mexico with plans to
move to Heper Kansas to join the Hope On Wings
team. Ray is a singer and is constantly on tour
representing Hope On Wings Foundation.

Ray and Crystal brought us our first grandson on
October 8,2008. His name is David Levi Sample and he is
such a precious bundle of joy! On August 11 2010
our second grandson arrived. Isaiah James
Sample. I trust he will grow into that big
name!
Corrie, at 25 years of age (26 in February), has
just finished an intensive 14 month nursing program that
adds a bachelors in Nursing to her bachelors in
International Resuce and Relief from Union College. She
is now preparing for her boards and plans to train to be
a missio pilot with Hope On Wings Foundation.
As a family we have served overseas in Pohnpei,
Micronesia and Papua New Guinea and Elana spent the first
12 years of her life in Indonesia so we have a bit of
International flavor in the home.
Currently Elana and Jack are
working in Hepler, Kansas setting up a mission aviation
center to train pilots and build kit planes for
Papua New Guinea. http://HopeOnWings.org
The shop and hangar are being built and we
are building a small plane to use as a trainer and to
travel here in the States while raising funds for our
mission aviation program in PNG. Register on the
Hope On Wings website listed above.
Please join our prayer partner email list and
join us in storming the gates to get this work of
reaching the remote 850 language groups in this forgotten
land for Jesus.
